Academic Career
Jayda Jones started her academic career at the University of Missouri-Kansas City but has since transferred to North Carolina A&T. With a background in mechanical engineering and business management. Jayda has been not only able to start a buiness to increase diversity in STEM but also has made an impact at two global health care companies - Medtronic and Abbott Laboratories.
At Medtronic, she was a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern where she supported the production of pre-market medical devices for Cranial & Spinal technologies.
At Abbott, she supported the Casa Grande Abbott Nutrition site as an Operations Intern during the national baby formula crisis. Here, she managed the budget spreadsheet of a $2.7 million dollar capital project and developed training documentation that supports the quality of the produced product.
In May 2023, Jayda graduated with her degree in Liberal Studies - Concentration in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management from North Carolina A&T.
